HSFO

Fuel

High Sulphur Fuel Oil (HSFO) is a residual fuel oil that is used to power marine engines. It is a heavy, viscous fuel that is typically produced from the bottom fractions of crude oil distillation. HSFO is also known as bunker fuel, and it is the most common type of fuel used by ships and boats.
According to ISO 8217, HSFO (High Sulphur Fuel Oil) is characterized by a maximum density of 991 kg/m3 at 15 °C and a maximum viscosity of 700 mm2/s (cSt) at 50 °C.
